Welcome to Rocky Knob HempWorks!
Our family is planted on the western slope of the Rocky mountain recreational area which is beside the Blue Ridge Parkway in Floyd county. This part of the Virginia Blue Ridge is known for its windswept Ridges, majestic vistas, and rock formations that jut skyward. Whole mountainsides are clothed in the deep magentas and delicate pinks of the native rhododendron and laurel and shaded by the lush greens of hardwoods and pine that are alive with wildlife. These ancient mountains are the perfect environment to gather or grow a bounty of wild herbs for nutrition and natural remedy. For decades I have harvested chickweed, lemon balm, Violet leaf and flower, dandelions, evening primrose, yarrow, watercress, mints, comfrey, and a host of others in the Wise Women’s Tradition.
Spring of and summer of 2020 presented us the opportunity to focus on growing Cannabis Sativa Hemp along with our regular herb and vegetable garden. It seemed that all living things on this mountain thrived including us and the new hemp plants. We just loved soaking up the sunshine, fresh air, blue skies, clear water, and rich organic nutrients!
The hemp plant is fast becoming recognized as a superfood. It is chock full of CBD as well as hundreds of cannabinoids and terpenes. Our plants thrived and flowered our research and development centered around developing products to deliver these health-enhancing properties into our daily life. We began by adding the greens and Buds into our diet. Then, when the plants matured we started the process of infusing organic carrier oils for use in cooking and body care.
Now we are excited to be debuting our It’s The Balm salve, CBD Bath, CBD Sweet Bud, and our Pure & Simple lines of infused oils. These are the bases for a host of other creations. We hope you enjoy shopping our website and utilizing these all-natural healthy and nourishing products. Blessed Be!
